Eleven top firms face charges for hacking private data

The Information Commissioner Christopher Graham has revealed to MPs that investigators have found 'evidence of a criminal breach and a civil breach of the Data Protection Act' by 11 British firms.

Those involved could face unlimited fines, although sources said a final decision on whether to prosecute has yet to be taken.
